I Believe...
Sitting in my car at 3 a.m. in Nashville, watching the rain fall, writing on the windshield.
Call me stupid, crazy, naive, or misguided, but I still believe. I believe in journalism - myself, my skills, my potential. I believe the good guy always wins and the good girl gets the guy. I believe in puppies and sunshine and the indefatigable triumph of human will over stark reality. I believe happiness exists and it is our God- given right to find it. I believe hard work pays off and good things come to those who refuse to give up. I believe tomorrow will be better, and the day after that will be better still. I believe wishes still come true, prayers still get answered, the night was made for dreamers, and the day was made for doers. Tell me I'm wrong. I don't care. I have little, and I've lost much. But I haven't lost faith. In an odd way, for reasons I can't understand, I finally found it.Comments [3]
Bayou La Batre Beach
Sorry for the unsteadiness. It was such a peaceful scene, I decided to use my iPhone to capture it. That's not oil along the shoreline, just mud. I saw no presence of oil at the state docks today.
